Change in Objective, Need Oppinions

Some of my thoughts...rebuild in objective. What really attracts people to a website? Not tons of downloads, it only atttracts leechers! Not copied content obtainable from anywhere else. But unique content submitted by the webmaster/members and only viewable on this site.

What are my plans? Stop all the LF download movement, start making actual unique game guilds (on the one we focus on). As well as adding unique G4F made contents.

Or should I still continue this long time wasting movement when we could actually focus on new ideas?

Start unique game guilds? So you mean from now on it's mostly about the community? No more downloads, etc?

You are kinda right that downloads doesn't attract people to site. And that plan of yours sounds pretty good. You should add to the idea that was in some thread *Doesn't remember which*

But the main idea was that we could focus on many more things. Getting rid of LF would be first step... Since I don't think that it is anymore attractive game as it used to be. We could focus on some other free games that peopl like, you could make a poll for it.

Then I liked the previous when we focused on Animes too. We should bring that back.

I don't think its a good idea to remove the LF component of the site.

But I also don't think there's a necessity to do movement of downloads... since afterall like you said.. it only attracts leechers, not USEFUL members.

So my suggestion is:

Keep the lf component, forget about the downloads for now.
Perhaps increase the scope of games we focus on (a little.)
And do that game guild thing or whatever it is..

specific suggestion on new games to include to this forum:
egoboo - very easily moddable like lf2.. there's not many communities focusing on it.. (so no worries about competition... but worry about whether our members will be able to pick up the game modding.)

You'll notice there hasn't been anymore updates since about a few years back... and not all bugs are fixed (supposed network component totally broken and thus not available.... and some transparancy issues. But the game is still fully playable. Its a little lacking in content.. but bringing it into focus on G4F is should fix it. [assuming the members are able to pick up modding this game])

Its a dungeon and dragon style game... or rogue adventure... whichever is more familiar to whoever is reading this sentence.
With a cartoony feel (in terms of physical proportion of the world) and its in 3d.

I hate to say it,but we have to drop LF1 and LF2,but not yet LFO since LFO is considered quite new,even though its not really too popular.If we drop LFO,then we might lose a few LFO members.I suggest for LF,we leave it there,until a time when LF2 is forgotten.If Marti or Starsky creates a new LF,then the idea might be best if we slowly remove LF2 and put up the new LF.

I would say the movement is not neccesary.So its up to you.

We are still yet to find any new game we can focus on,but we should leave a mark that our site was created out of the popularity of LF2,even if it is gone.

This is one of my reason that I went on that spamming frenzy on the new members because there is spam filling up the LF general area.I was reasonbale at first but I found out that there are 85 topics total in the LF General Section as off now and 52 of the topics are spam topics like "Which download character is the best" and "Who's your favorite download character?",etc plus .44 of the topics were made by unactive members that mostly consisted of plasterblaster42,sffadsad ,Firzin,ghetto181,Mgccl,and more.One thing that suprised me is that Tiger made up most of that other half of the 85 LF topics, but I'm not out to fofend anybody.

I know the downloads are for members but this is the exactly like in the old G4F running into a noob asking for help with a download.It would be a positive idea to add our own content to the site so we won't have leechers coming in and out of the site because it's getting annoying.

Also some other ideas/things/games we an get into:

Games/MMORPGS
Egoboo:As HC stated it's moddable like LF2 and has a dungeon crawler feel and is fun to play

Knights Of Night:It's similar to Egoboo but it's more action adventure RPG that dungeon crawler.You can intergrate music and other modable options to the game.

Survival Project:Another MMO that is fun and well liked it has a guild feature in the game so we could set up a guild in-game and the gameplay is very in-deep but easy to absorb

Digimon Online RPG:It's in Korean but once you get past that it's a very fun game.

Ideas and Things We Could Add

Mods:How about brings the mods back?I think there would be less spam on the site if there were more security or someone higher than a member on the site other than you.

More Anime:It seems like now the only topics I see are LF or MS nowadays lets bring some anime into the mix.There are so many interesting anime series out I can't see why most people are still on there computer.

Movie/Game/Anime/Book Reviews:We could have a area were members could give fair and reasonable reviews on things that they've seen or play lately recommending whether you should spend your time.

Uh.. egoboo and Knight of Knights aren't MMOs.
Egoboo's networking is completely broken... and the last version of KoK I played didn't even HAVE any trace of anything hinting to network games.
