What have you been doing?

Just a quick recap what everybody has been doing. You can include links and pics too if you want.

As what I've been doing.

• Became interested in fighting games: Crucis Fatal Fake, Melty Blood and SFIV - waiting eagerly for SSFIV and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift.
• Became a Type-Moon fanboy.
• Have been consuming good amounts of manga, anime and visual novels.
• Still interested on graphics and such. Made some arcade stick art and been testing with video editing.
• Kinda interested about writing. Writing a story of mine and doing some forum game engines.
• Got myself a driving license.
• IRL has been going smoothly and all.

Well a lot has been happening in my life.

* I started playing soccer & now play it 4 days a week.
* I'm doing Primary Education at University so in 3 years I will be a primary school teacher.
* I still play soldat but not really much else.. I just started playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
* I recently proposed to my girlfriend at her year 12 formal & she said yes so we will be getting married September next year. We were actually on the front page of The Northern Star for it, which is an Australian-wide newspaper.

Well, let's see...

Moved to Rohnert Park, CA on Jan. 14th '08 with Cody, and he and I have been together as boyfriends since June of the same year. About 8 hours away by car from parents and little sister now, but they come to visit once about every 6 months.

Got a job at Blockbuster late Aug. '08, held for a year and 1/2 before everything went to hell. Store manager of 10+ years was fired for no reason (he was making more money than corporate wanted him to), and his replacement was a demon-lady, I kid you not. Everyone either quit (like me) or was fired and replaced. The store is now going to hell and I'm sooooo glad to not be working there anymore. Currently holding jobs at Ross and Gamestop. Been working at Ross for about 3-4 months and gamestop for just over a month. Having 2 jobs is pretty hard!

Marf, I'm still making videos and going to conventions of course. Fun times! I live up here in a 4-bedroom house with 3 roommates and Cody, who shares the master bedroom with me. Having a small bathroom attached to your own bedroom is the greatest luxury in the world, trust me X3 Achieve it and appreciate it!

I guess that's good enough for a basic life update, right? *wags* Marf

So much has happened with my life...

- Watched Anime, Read Manga and VN like theres no tomorrow - But Stopped Last Month...need a rest from it XD
- Been playing ALOT of Age of Empires 2 - Expansion with Friends (I haven't played LF2 in awhile aha)
- Recently Made a Side Site about My Cat, Friend's Dog, and Random Reviews: http://www.chencubed.com (and hence decided to restore G4F / Reality Desu)

IRL:
- Got a job and moved out of parent's house. But then moved to Virginia from California ... big jump ...
- Been doing lots of cycling in CA...but less in VA due to non-biking friendly community here...flipped off a bike due to road + cars and almost died XD

Highlights of my last eighteen months or so since I lost contact with HiddenSin:

1. Around the time of HS, I resurrected and co-conducted our youth group choir. After a twenty-one month stint, I've handed it off to capable hands, and now I'm IN it instead of LEADING it XD !!!

2. I got a full-fledged Facebook account and threw all my TKSM memories there. My Picasa Web Albums (also under thekapedstikman; just Google it, and every hit should be me) are currently hosting my comics (Return has already been released in its entirety).

3. I took a hint and stopped failing courses. Pending final marks coming out in January, I am OFFICIALLY done school...nineteen years of it. (BSc in Mechanical Engineering, if you're curious/forgetful.)

4. I took another hint and got myself a REAL job that doesn't involve working for family. The best thing is it's a MEC E job, and I managed to land it (family friend XP ) despite the poor economic times. Now my dad wants me in another REAL MEC E job, even though no one is hiring and I like it there =~= ...

5. I found the tenth-anniversary edition of LF2. (Enough said...but that won't stop me >,< .) Got some friends into it, too. As such, I'm still a hopeless novice; but I recently beat Julian (playing as Davis) in Survival Mode for the first time in umpteen tries, so there's definitely progress on that front. I'm also keeping my eye on Hero Fighter.

6. I got me a laptop !!! Actually, it's a hand-me-down from my aunt; but because its keyboard was half-broken, it was only gently used. After a few economical upgrades, it's as good as my four-year-old desktop, and is now my preferred computer to use!!!

So yeah...lots have happened. It's been that kind of a year for me. I had already declared 2009 as the best year of my life (which supplanted my last year of high school, 2005); G4F's/RD's revival is the cherry on top for me ;) .

This year I had the O'level exams.

Now it's the holidays. Been having a really crappy sleep schedule despite that, and I've been losing a lot of confidence and motivation gradually. Right now I don't have anything to do but play video games and listen to music, but even so, there aren't many to enjoy. Hopefully I will find something that will interest me, and quickly.

I'm waiting for my results to come out in Jauary 2010. If I did well, I'll finally move on to the next level of education; from Secondary School to a tertiary education, most probably a Junior College.

Last year in school. Oh well.

But last two (eh?) years. I've been doing very much different stuff.

* About a year ago I became fan of Michael Jackson. And yeah... I guess everyone knows what happened in June.

* I attended confirmation camp in Lapland (North Finland) in June. It was awesome and Lapland is probably on the most beautiful places in whole world!

* Same June MJ and my grandma died. Then my "best friend" started dating my crush. Oh well, I guess everything is OK now because I'm dating that girl now. ;)

* Haven't played LF2 like in a year or so. Probably July last time but many hours was probably last New Year's eve. And I haven't played very much HF (yet).

* I started acting! Heck yeah I love acting! One theater play behind but I've done few smalls. Today I have small role in Christmas play in church. This evening and tomorrow. And I've got kind of big role next spring and I spend my whole summer acting. :)

And that's pretty much the most important things. I'd say life is going very well currently. :)

I've been enhancing my Adobe PS skills.
Improving my drawings.
Watching my brother become better than me at drawing.
Starting to do Logo commissions.
Looking at Art Institute of Washington for College.
Playing a couple games.
Not having enough time for games.
Only games I play now is www.kingdomofloathing.com and a Ragnarok Online Private Server...
I became a GM in the server I play in...
I also became 999x times more active with my Church youth group.
Attending Winter Bridge Retreat in a few days <3

Hmmm it's been a bout 1-2 years since I last been here so let's recap shall we?

* I've went through a slurry of new nicks/usernames: TheOriginal009 > 009 > Millenium Gun > MG > Ja'Kal > UVER MG > Gunzy Troubado(u)r > Gunzy. I currently rather be called Gunzy at the moment.

* I graduated out of high school even though I failed and got behind but I found out that if I took some independent studies classes I could graduate on time.

* I started to get into graphic design (GIMP is my weapon of choice at the moment even though I have CS2) and using it to make sigs, splahses for subbing groups etc.

* I work at Taco Bell. :(

* I could poissibly be involved the The Anime Variety Dub's Abridged Series of Gundam Wing.

* I weigh more or less the same weight in the past two years?

* I got a 360 so I'm on that sometimes.

* I'm starting to collect video games and action figures when my income allows me to do so.

* I'm a proud uncle of one niece and nephew at the moment.

* I'm still alive :o

* I've become a fan of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. Pretty much tokusatsu in general.
