windows exp from 2008 is no longer for sell only vista is for sell windows kind of stinks with that becouse they are pushing us to buy windows vista!!!

Then that means I'll not be updating my PC for the next 4-5 years... honestly, from what I heard, Vista is exactly the same as XP, but costs more and sucks major ass in terms of installation.
I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but I never even wanted a Vista. My logic is: If it ain't broken don't fix it.

Hm... Thats bad, I agree Vista is nothing more than a few improved graphics, I'll stick to XP.
And its a new operating system, and its surely gonna have bugs 'n' stuff, which take like a year to fix o.O"

knowing microsoft it'll always have bugs, and it will take probably two years for many to be fixed with some that never will be fixed. Unfortunately Vista is a terrible OS but it is a lot more than improved graphics.. it's quite different i believe, i'll personally move to Mac in due time but until then i'm sticking with my XP.

If XP suddenly fails me i could always go over to linux..

I think I won't update my PC either. But the thing is all the games that I'd want to play won't play on regular NVIDIA anymore. They take more high-speed crap now. I'll save up money and get a ALienware or something to keep me up their for the next 3 years until it get's old. Then sell it and save up for the next.

XP is perfect. although a couple of years out of date, it does the job. i have heaps of CD's for XP so i wont worry if i cant buy it. it would probably be on eBay anyway.

I remember people saying the same thing when XP just came out. I always wait a few yhears before switching to a new OS so they fix all the major bugs and security holes.

yeah, give vista a few years. Wait for all of the bugs to be worked out.

and plus, windows xp will still be around...Microsoft is saying that it will disappear when the demand is gone for it. When Vista gets out all of the bugs, increases performance, and increase compatibility for drivers, then thats when xp will be out of demand.

But for me to migrating to Apple or Linux (maybe ubuntu)? I dbout it. The other OS's are cool but still, I would rather prefer windows because of thier games and of their software. People say theres so many viruses for windows, pshhh....yeha right..if you know alot about computers, then you wont be getting viruses

They stopped updates for certain applications, such as wmp a long time ago hahahahah
